Henrik Toft Hansen: 'Two satisfying points'

News

On Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain Handball defeated an excellent Plock side (37-33) in their EHF Champions League Matchday 2 clash. Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Henrik Toft Hansen and David Balaguer.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"The start of the game didn't go our way. We didn't play very well in the first quarter of the game and in the Champions League, we know that this can be detrimental to us. We lost a lot of possessions in attack and it took us a while to find our feet in defence. Gradually it got better and better and we were even able to score seven goals in the second half. In the end we can be happy with the victory. It was the first European match here at Coubertin this season and I am happy that we could win in front of our fans."

HENRIK TOFT HANSEN (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL PIVOT):

"Plock played very well! It's the Matchday 2 and we're off the mark. These two points were difficult to secure. We had to stay focused for 60 minutes. This victory is satisfying. There are a lot of matches to play, be it in the Liqui Moly StarLigue or the Champions League. That's why we had to win, because on Sunday in Toulouse it will be complicated once again."

DAVID BALAGUER (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT-WINGER):

"We know that this competition is not easy. We were under pressure after our first defeat, but we managed it well. We made some mistakes, but overall we were the better team. We knew we were superior, despite some mistakes. We are at the beginning of the season, so it takes time to sort out these details. It's good for the confidence."
