Group A results

News

Paris Saint-Germain Handball continued their perfect start to the European campaign with a 35-31 win at home to Zagreb in EHF Champions League Matchday 2 action on Thursday afternoon. Check out the other results from Group A.

Aalborg - Pelister : 38-23

Having already beaten Kielce last week (31-34), Aalborg continued their good run of form. The Danes played host to Pelister, who had lost to Kolstad (22-31). There were no surprises and the home side controlled the game throughout. Their success was due in no small part to their attacking talents, with Aleks Vlah scoring seven goals and Mikkel Hansen five. Aalborg are one of three teams in the group to have won their opening two matches.

Kiel - Szeged : 35-32

At the top of the table, we also find Kiel. It was not an easy task for the Germans, who had to host Szeged. After a tight first half (30': 16-15), the home side finally managed to make the difference in the second half and take a six-point lead into the final moments. The Hungarians' fine finish wasn't enough to get them back into the match and they suffered their second defeat in as many games. It was former Dunkirk goalkeeper Samir Bellahcene's first European match for his new club, with six saves.

KOLSTAD - KIELCE: 30-32

This duel of former Parisians, between Kolstad (Sander Sagosen) and Kielce (Dylan Nahi and Benoît Kounkoud) turned out to the advantage of the Poles. However, after a perfectly controlled first half (30': 11-17), the visitors gave themselves a fright at the end of the match, to the point where the Norwegians came back to within two points just before the buzzer. With one win and one defeat apiece, the two teams are level on points in Group A.
