On Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain Handball started their Liqui Moly StarLigue season with a win, after a great battle in Nimes (28-33). Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Luc Steins and David Balaguer.
RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):
"Every time we come here it's complicated. The team is very good and the atmosphere is great. We struggled in the first 15 minutes. But little by little, we played better to get the victory. It will be different in Veszprém on Thursday. There will be some fatigue, but we will prepare well for this game to get the win."
LUC STEINS (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL CENTRE-HALF):
"After a long preparation, everyone was focused for this start to the league season. And it showed, with a big battle on the court. Nîmes really wanted to win and put us in trouble. We remained calm and in the second half we increased the gap and won. We have to have this same character in all matches, because everyone wants to beat us. This season, we will be expected to attack even more."
DAVID BALAGUER (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT-WINGER):
"It was intense! We expected it, it's always like that in Nîmes. They're a team that brings a lot of intensity and has a lot of character. We had to show the same and that we like to fight. During the whole match and especially in the second half, we showed the spirit we needed to win, and above all that we weren't afraid. The championship is the number one objective. Starting away from home is never easy, especially in Nîmes. Now it's time for the EHF Champions League."
