Stats & Facts: A look back at the win against Auxerre

Match in numbers

Take a look at the key stats and facts from the Parisians' 5-0 win over Auxerre on Sunday in Ligue 1's matchday 15.

finishing on a positive note

Our Parisians wanted to finish on a positive note, at home, before our internationals take off for the World Cup in Qatar. Christophe Galtier's men succeeded in their mission, with a clear-cut victory over Auxerre (5-0).
Paris have not lost any of their last 29 home games in Ligue 1, by far the best record in the five major European leagues, and at least twice as many as their nearest rivals, Bayern Munich (14). And it's a good thing, because our players will have the opportunity to celebrate the end of year festivities on their home turf, with the game against Strasbourg on December 28...

succesful substitutions

Even though the first-choice players showed their worth against Auxerre on Sunday, the substitutes who came off the bench also made a significant contribution to the game. Hugo Ekitiké and Renato Sanches came on for the last 15 minutes of the match and wasted no time in showing their worth, the former providing the assist for the latter's fourth goal of the match (80'). Three minutes later, the passer turned scorer and scored the fifth and final Parisian goal, which he celebrated in his coach's arms (83').

A first goal in the Rouge et Bleu shirt for the n°44, who did not hide his joy to PSGTV: "I dreamed of scoring here, I dreamed of it and I got close to it. It's wonderful. I'm not going to lie to you, when the ball went in, when I felt the stadium stop and the crowd rise... It did something to my heart. I'm going to sleep well tonight!"

the unbeaten run CONTINUEs

With another win, Paris Saint-Germain have now gone 31 consecutive matches without defeat in all competitions (24 wins, 7 draws), the third best run in their history. To break the record, they would have to come close to what was achieved in the August 1993-April 1994 (37) and March-December 2013 (36) periods.

SOLER finds the back of the net once more

Since his first goal in the Champions League against Maccabi Haifa, Carlos Soler has clearly decided to step on the gas. Four days later, the Spanish international was decisive twice in Ligue 1, opening the scoring against Troyes and then winning the penalty that allowed Kylian Mbappé to score the fourth Parisian goal. It was the same again on Sunday evening against Auxerre, when Soler scored the breakthrough goal (2-0, 51'), and then followed it up by setting up Achraf Hakimi (3-0, 57').
The n°28 has found the net from 2 of his 3 shots in Ligue 1!

a record five scorers

With five different scorers against AJA (Kylian Mbappé, Carlos Soler, Achraf Hakimi, Renato Sanches and Hugo Ekitiké), the club from the capital impressed ahead of the break!
It is also a record and only the fourteenth time that five different Parisian strikers have found the net in 1,846 matches in the top flight.

The last time Paris managed such a performance was already at the Parc des Princes, with the victory against Angers (6-1) on 2 October 2020, with goals scored by Alessandro Florenzi, Neymar (a brace), Julian Draxler, Idrissa Gueye and Kylian Mbappé.
The record for an official match remains seven different scorers, when Thiago Silva, Adrien Rabiot, Christopher Nkunku, Thiago Motta, Lucas, Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler all found the back of the net in the French Cup round of 32 against Bastia on 7 January 2017.
