The day after the International Super Cup 2019 match against Inter Milan (1-1, 5-6 on pens.) in Macao, the Paris Saint-Germain squad headed to Suzhou to prepare for their next friendly match against Sydney FC.
After enjoying a second night in their hotel in Macao, Les Rouge et Bleu left their temporary home at 9am local time (six hours ahead of France) on Sunday. The entire delegation travelled to the airport and a flight to Shanghai. The squad took off around 11am for the two and a half hour flight, where the players ate lunch, played games, watched videos or simply slept. Thomas Tuchel and his players then had another hour and a half coach ride to their final destination of Suzhou.
Once arrived, the players met with the owner of the hotel where they will spend the next three days, as well as many supporters, including members of the local Fan Club as well as special guests of match organiser Kaisa. "I have supported Paris Saint-Germain for a long time," explained Zihan, from Suzhou. "Last season I even travelled to Paris for a game at the Parc des Princes. My favourite players are Kylian Mbappé and Neymar. Seeing Kylian here was amazing! I am honoured to have got his autograph."
The squad then headed up to their rooms for a moments rest before Edinson Cavani and his teammates headed to train at the Suzhou Olympic Stadium, where they will take on Australian champions Sydney FC, on Tuesday 31 July at 20:00 local time.
