The Paris Saint-Germain coach and Marquinhos spoke to PSG TV after the 1-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals at the BVB Stadion on Wednesday 1 May.

"We knew it was going to be difficult. It was a balanced match, very fair. Both teams had chances. The attacks got the better of the defences many times. They scored a goal. We had some very clear chances, but we couldn't make them count. It's not something we can't overcome. Now we have to go home to recover and think about the return leg.
It's the first time in the knockouts that we've played the first game away from home. For Borussia Dortmund, it will be the first time they have played the return leg away from home. Today, our 3,000 supporters have not stopped singing, singing, singing. Even if we lose. It's going to be a party in Paris. It has to be before the match, during the match and after the match."
MARQUINHOS
"We came here looking for a win. We knew the situation here, with their fans. They have a lot of energy. Our first half was a bit disappointing. We could have done better. I think in the second half we were in better positions, we did much better in what we can do, we created a lot of chances. But that's the result, it's 1-0. It's still a close result. And we're going to take this 1-0 back to Paris to build on it, to work during this week with the same mentality as we did in Barcelona to get this result. After that, we can do great things and go to the final.
The fans? They have their strength here. We have our strength there. It's our ground, our home and our fans who will push us on. They were even here today. You could hear them, they were here, there were a lot of them. We thank them for that. And now we want to ask them to give it their all for the second leg, so that we can give everything, so that they can give a lot of energy to the team and so that we can win this match."
