Danilo, Vitinha and Mendes victorious with Portugal against Ghana

Danilo Pereira’s, Vitinha’s and Nuno Mendes’s Portugal beat Ghana 3-2 at Stadium 974 in Doha today, in what was their first game of the group stage at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Having started the game, Paris's Danilo Pereira played the entirety of it at centre-back. Vitinha, meanwhile, was an unused substitute, as was Nuno Mendes, the third Rouge et Bleu player in the Portugal squad.
