Women's team score sixth straight win

News

With their 2-0 defeat of Paris FC on Saturday, Olivier Echouafni's squad maintained their 100% start to the league season.

Just three days after their UEFA Women's Champions League win at Breidablik in Iceland (0-4), Paris Saint-Germain's women's team got back to league action.

Marie-Antoinette Katoto took just seven minutes to raise pulses, seizing onto a defensive error only to see her shot cleared off the line after she had expertly rounded the goalkeeper.

Katoto was involved again to break the deadlock, latching onto Perle Morroni's pass before firing home (1-0, 32').

After the break, the chances continued to come and Katoto headed home a second from Nadia Nadim's cross (2-0, 55').

This sixth consecutive win means the Rouge-et-Bleu are in top spot in D1 Arkéma ahead of Lyon's game with Dijon. Next up for the Parisians is a trip to Marseille on 27 October.
