Jackie Groenen: 'Looking forward to the final'

Interviews

With Saturday's Coupe de France final looming, the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder gave an insight into how the squad are approaching their showdown with Olympique Lyonnais.

Jackie, HOW'S THE SPIRIT IN THE CAMP AHEAD OF THE COUPE DE FRANCE FINAL and the final strait to the season?

"The atmosphere is really good. The girls have been preparing and working very hard for a number of weeks, so we're happy that the games are coming thick and fast. That's why we all play football. You always want big games, and especially so in Paris."

YOU'VE BEEN OUT FOR A MONTH WITH INJURY BUT ARE ON YOUR WAY BACK NOW. how is training going?

"I'm back on the pitch, I'm training and I feel good. Yes, I'm in the middle of working my way back, but I feel ready to make my return."

Paris WON THE COUPE DE FRANCE LAST SEASON. IS WINNING IT AGAIN A FURTHER SOURCE OF MOTIVATION FOR YOU?

"I came here to win trophies, and I think that with the team we have we should win some. We are really looking forward to this game and being able to play our football."

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE TEAM'S COUPE DE FRANCE RUN?

"During the last game I played against Bordeaux, we came through on penalties. But I think overall we've dominated the competition, so I feel good ahead of the game against Lyon. I heard the stadium will be almost full, that's why we play. I hope we can win the trophy."
