GĂ©rard PrĂȘcheur: 'The girls have to play a natural game'

News

The Paris Saint-Germain women's team coach wants his side to play with full focus when they face Chelsea in the UEFA Women's Champions League on Thursday.

Coach, IF YOUR TEAM GETS IN FRONT, WILL YOU PUSH FOR A SECOND?

"I think the girls have to play a natural game. If we go in front, then yes we'll try and get that extra goal to finish top of the group."

What's your opinion of chelsea?

"Ramona analysed our opponents very well. In the first game with them, we were in a period in which we were looking for solutions, especially trying to replace Katoto. That took some time, without forgetting certain players came back late in the summer. If I add to that that it takes time to build understanding on the pitch, I would say that we were in a construction phase. Now, we've progressed and have more stability."

DO YOU FEEL THE SQUAD IS TIRED AHEAD OF THIS FINAL GAME BEFORE THE BREAK?

"We're not on holiday and the message has been very well transmitted to the players. There are two risks for tomorrow's game. The first is to say that we're already through and we can settle for that. The second is the holidays that are going to follow. I have asked my players to forget about those two factors to be able to focus completely on the game."
