Paris Saint-Germain Women's coach Olivier Echouafni reacted to the draw for the UEFA Women’s Champions League Round of 32 that saw Les Rouge et Bleu drawn against Portuguese outfit Braga.
Coach, what is your first reaction to the UEFA Women’s Champions League draw and the prospect of playing Braga?
"The first round matches are never easy, it's never easy to start a new competition. But we have every intention of preparing well and winning every match. So we will go to Braga with the aim of qualifying for the round of 16."
What do you know about this Braga side?
"We will take the time needed to study them before we play them to avoid any nasty surprises. But we know that they are Portuguese champions, that their season has just started and they are already top of the table. If they are qualified, it means they deserve to be here and we will have to be careful."
How are you approaching this new European campaign?
"With a lot of desire and determination! We were left with an empty feeling after our quarter-final loss last season against Chelsea and this year we want to do better. We need to do what we have to do, play with intensity and rhythm... because this is a magnificent competition to play in and a huge challenge."
