Eleven players from the Paris Saint-Germain women's team joined their respective national teams during the international break. Here is a look at their performances.
Elisa de almeida / sakina karchaoui / GRACE GEYORO / KADIDIATOU DIANI - FRANCE
Against Norway, Les Bleues managed to win 1-2 on the road. In this match, our four Parisian players started the game. Striker Kadi Diani even opened the score after an assist from Sakina Karchaoui for a goal with Parisian flavour!
ASHLEY LAWRENCE - CANADA
Ashley Lawrence's Canada headed to Brazil for two friendlies against the Seleção. The Reds won the first match (1-2), thanks in particular to an assist from the Parisian left-back. Ashley Lawrence was again decisive in the second match, this time with a goal from the penalty spot. However, the goal was not enough for her team, who lost 2-1.
AMANDA ILESTEDT - sweden
Paris Saint-Germain's Swedish player Amanda Ilestedt faced Lydia Williams' Australia in Melbourne last Saturday. The match was a one-sided affair that did not go in the visitors' favour as they lost heavily (4-0). The Parisian defender was not in the starting line-up for this match, but she came on during the game.
MARINA GEORGIEVA - austria
It has been a more than successful international break for Parisian Marina Georgieva. Selected for Austria, she played the whole of her country's two friendly matches, both of which ended in victory. The first was in Italy by the slimmest of margins (0-1), while the second was at home against Slovakia (3-0).
JACKIE GROENEN / Lieke Martens - netherlands
The Netherlands had two Parisians in their ranks: Jackie Groenen in midfield and Lieke Martens in attack. The Oranje Leeuwinnen beat Costa Rica 4-0 in a match in which Jackie Groenen played the first half. In the second match against Denmark on Dutch soil, both players were in the starting line-up. Groenen played the whole game while Lieke Martens played the first half. Jonker's team won their second game 2-0.
RAMONA BACHMANN - switzerland
It was a similar programme for the Swiss team with the club from the capital’s striker Ramona Bachmann, who played against Denmark. However, the Nati lost to Denmark (1-2), even though the Parisian player was in the starting line-up and played one hour before giving up her place.
LYDIA WILLIAMS - AUSTRALIa
Unlike her teammate Amanda Ilestedt, Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Lydia Williams did not play in the match between Australia and Sweden. The home team won easily by 4 goals to 0.
