ELISA DE ALMEIDA / SAKINA KARCHAOUI / GRIEDGE MBOCK / GRACE GEYORO / THINIBA SAMOURA - FRANCE
The French women’s national team, featuring our five Parisiennes, wrapped up a perfect run this week with 6 wins in 6 matches during the UEFA Women’s Nations League group stage. Elisa De Almeida and Grace Geyoro each scored against Switzerland, with the latter shining again in the second match in Iceland to seal the victory for Les Bleues. Laurent Bonadei’s players finished top of their group with 18 points!
JACKIE GROENEN / ROMÉE LEUCHTER - NETHERLANDS
The Netherlands women’s national team also had two matches scheduled in the UEFA Women’s Nations League. Andries Jonker and his players suffered a heavy defeat against Germany (4–0), before being held to a draw by Scotland four days later (1–1). Despite this, the Oranje secured second place in the group with 11 points, behind Germany.
PAULINA DUDEK - POLAND
The Poland women’s national team also played two matches in the UEFA Women’s Nations League. In the first match, Paulina Dudek and her teammates secured an easy win over Northern Ireland (4–0). Then, four days later, in their final group stage match, Nina Patalon’s players dominated Romania. They finished top of their group with a total of 16 points.
CRYSTAL DUNN - USA
Crystal Dunn’s United States women’s national team played two friendly matches during this international break. Emma Hayes and her players claimed a 3–0 win over China, followed a few days later by a 4–0 victory over Jamaica. Our defender featured in the team’s first match.
MARY EARPS - ENGLAND
The England women’s national team also had two group stage matches in the UEFA Women’s Nations League. The Lionesses delivered a resounding 6–0 win over Portugal at Wembley Stadium in London, before facing Spain in Barcelona, where they were narrowly beaten 2–1.
LAURINA FAZER - FRANCE U23
The France U23 women’s national team, featuring our midfielder Laurina Fazer, won the Sud Ladies Cup for the second year in a row. It was a competition in which our young Parisian truly stood out, as she was awarded the Player of the Tournament trophy.
KORBIN ALBERT - USA U23
The United States U23s, featuring Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Korbin Albert, played two friendly matches. After securing a last-minute win in the first match against Germany (2–1), Lisa Cole’s players were defeated in the second encounter (2–1). Korbin Albert played 77 minutes in the first match."
MERVEILLE KANJINGA - Democratic republic of Congo
The Democratic Republic of Congo, featuring our Parisian forward, suffered defeats in both of their matches against Tanzania at the Azam Complex Stadium (2–1 and 3–1). Merveille Kanjinga came on as a substitute in the first match.
JOE ECHEGINI - NIGERIA
Meanwhile, Nigeria, featuring our Parisian midfielder Joe Echegini, secured a 2–0 victory over Cameroon in a match played at the MKO Abiola Stadium.
ALYSSA FERNANDES / NAOLIA TRAORÉ - FRANCE U19
Finally, the France U19s, featuring Alyssa Fernandes, Naolia Traoré and Ornella Graziani, were beaten by a strong German side (4–0). The Bleuettes can now focus on their major summer event: the UEFA Women’s U19 Euros in Poland.
