Bathenay at the Parc

Former Paris Saint-Germain captain Dominique Bathenay was at the Parc des Princes on Sunday for the Week 31 Ligue 1 match versus Strasbourg.

Paris Saint-Germain player between 1978 and 1985, Dominique Bathenay is the first captain to have lifted the Coupe de France, back in 1982 against AS Saint-Étienne (2-2 a.et.t, 6-5 on pens.) and against FC Nantes (3-2) in 1983. He has also won more Coupe de France more than any other player after winning three with ASSE (1973-78).

"Coming back to the Parc des Princes brings back lots of good memories!," explained the former France international to PSG TV. "I had some great years here. It was a great period of my life, especially with those two Coupe de France finals."

There were many ex-Paris at the Parc on Sunday, including Eric Renaut, Carlos Bianchi, Omar Da Fonseca, Jimmy Algerino, Danijel Ljuboja, Edvin Murati, Amara Simba, Marcos Ceara, Oumar Dieng and Yuri Berchiche.
