Aiming for top spot

Currently level with Liverpool on ten points at the top of the section, Thiago Motta's side need to get a better result in their final group stage match, against Crvena Zvezda, than the Reds against Napoli, to finish top of the section. If both sides finish equal on points, Liverpool will finish top courtesy of a better head to head record. First place in the section qualifies automatically for the last-16 of the competition, while second-place goes into a play-off match against eight national champions to be introduced into the draw.

With just one point from five matches so far in Group C, the Serbians sit bottom of the section and lost the first meeting between the two sides 2-1 in Paris, where Kapo and Fressange got the goals for Les Rouge et Bleu. Today's match will be played at the Stadion na Banovom Brdu, the regular home of FK Čukarički.
