Once again, Vincent Gérard was imperious in his goal against Barcelona (30-27), with one of his saves included among the Top Saves of EHF Champions League Matchday 5.
Throughout the match, Vincent and Catalan goalkeeper Gonzalo Perez de Vargas had a spectacular duel that saw the handiwork of both 'keepers appear among the five best saves of the week.
The French international distinguished himself by winning a one-on-one from close range. Barça's Angel Fernandez Perez had a great chance to score on the counter, but he was denied by our last line of defence, who ended up cheating the Spaniard's effort wide!

That was just one of his 14 saves of the evening, and this is the second time in the space of a week that he has been rewarded in this way on the European stage (as well as in the Liqui Moly StarLigue!), after another fine display against Zaporozhye (40-32).
