The Parisians arrive in Kielce

News

On Saturday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball take on Kielce in the first leg of their Velux EHF Champions League quarter-final tie. On Friday, the Parisians arrived in Poland.

It was an early start for our players, who met up at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin in the wee hours.

They ricked up a few things and then jumped on the coach for Bourget airport for their flight to Warsaw.

Around 11:00, Thierry Omeyer and his teammates landed in the Polish capital, but the trip wasn't over! From there, they had a two-hour drive to Kielce. A few stretches were in order!

After arriving at the hotel at about 15:00, the players quickly headed to the Hala Legionow for a training session. When they arrived, they ran into Kielce's Spanish coach Talant Dujshebaev, who on top of being an opponent has served as a mentor to several of our players - notably Luc Abalo and Viran Morros - not to mention our coach Raul Gonzalez, who was his assistant for eight years (2005-2013) at Ciudad Real.

As is often the case, the session began with a playful match, with the 'youngsters', kitted out in white, winning the epic clash on the buzzer.

The obligatory tactical session followed.

The session ended around 20:00, with the team returning to the hotel less than 24 hours before their crucial Champions League clash with Kielce.

Throw-off will be at 18:00 and the match will be broadcast on beIN SPORTS 1 as well as our social media platforms. Before then, you can check out the full album of photos from Friday by clicking here.
