Check out what Raul Gonzalez and Ruben Marchan had to say after Les Rouge et Bleus’ win over Aix at Coubertin (37-34).
Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):
‘We got off to a good start. And it wasn't easy, because we had to deal with several injuries, and Aix made life difficult for us with their seven-man attacks in the second half. But we managed to keep our focus and increase our lead. It's an important victory, but we must immediately switch our focus to the Champions League, where we have a crunch clash with Veszprém to increase our chances of finishing in the top two (directly qualifying for the quarter finals)."
Ruben Marchan (Paris Saint-Germain handball pivot):
"It wasn't an easy match. We need to work on staying on top late on our matches. It's still a win and we're happy with that, but we have some important fixtures coming up as early as next week, so we have to keep working. We're in a good position, but we're going to be playing Nantes at home in a few weeks' time, and we'll need to be at 100% because the championship will probably be decided then."
