Raul Gonzalez: 'We can and must do better'

Check out what the Parisians Raul Gonzalez, Nedim Remili and Vincent Gérard had to say after their 32-29 Lidl StarLigue Round 2 win at home to Nantes.

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):
"We won, but we didn't play well. I think that, defensively, we had a lot of difficulties. We can and must do better! Even if the most important thing is the win, we'll have to learn from our mistakes in this game, because we can't afford to play like this all season. We started well at the Trophée des Champions against Montpellier, and we have to keep up the pace. I know it's difficult, but we have quality players to do it."

Nedim Remili (Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-back):
"We knew it was going to be a very tough game tonight, and it was. Nantes were very aggressive in defence and we were up against a good opposition 'keeper. We could have or should have controlled things better at the end of the game, but the main thing is that we still managed to win. We were very good in the second half but in the last five and a half minutes we got a little slack. In the future, we will have to be able to play at this tempo until the end of the game if we want to avoid problems."

Vincent Gérard (Paris Saint-Germain Handball 'keeper):
"It's good to have our first home game of the season against a strong team. It allows us to measure ourselves and to know where we stand. I think the start of the game was very good, but the second half of the first half was more complicated. The second half was better defensively, and that allowed us to get ahead and finally clinch the win."
