It's already the first clash of the season! On Saturday evening, Paris Saint-Germain Handball travel to the Glaz Arena in Cesson-Rennes for the Trophée des Champions. And it's a big one, as they will be up against arch-rivals Nantes!
1 - A MOUTH-WATERING CLASH
These two fine teams are facing each other in this match because they both won national competitions last season. Les Rouge et Bleu lifted their tenth Liqui Moly StarLigue title, while The H won the Coupe de France after beating Montpellier in the final (39-33).

2 - PARIS: RECORD HOLDERS
The capital club will be playing in their seventh Trophée des Champions final, although this is only the 12th edition. No other team in France has done better. Paris are also the most successful team in the competition, having won the trophy four times (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019).
3 - TROPHÉE DES CHAMPIONS TROPHY
Nantes and our club are facing each other for the sixth time in this competition. So far, it's The H who lead the way, with three wins to the Parisians' two. This will also be the fourth time the two teams have met in the final.
4 - TWO DIFFERENT STARTS
The 2023-24 season officially kicked off for both teams this week, or almost... While Les Rouge et Bleu won the Coupe de France round of 16 after a great battle at Frontignan (38-42), The H had their match cancelled at Villeurbanne as the court at the Auvergne venue was in poor condition.
