Parisian accent for All-star team

The Ligue Nationale de Handball has unveiled the list of the LSL's best players for 2018-19 - a group that includes no fewer than three capital club stars.

In the position of playmaker we find Parisian Sander Sagosen - a first for the young Norwegian, who succeeds club mate Nikola Karabatic, who was also voted MVPn last time around.

We also see Mikkel Hansen make his return to the team. Named the league's MVP in seasons 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, the Dane is this time around the league's best left-back. It is his fourth time, after getting the gong in his preferred position three times between 2015 and 2017.

Last but not least, Uwe Gensheimer will be leaving the Lidl Starligue at the end of the season as its best left-winger, having clinched the award from his peers for the second time, after 2016-17.

With three players, Paris Saint-Germain Handball is the best-represented club in the All-star team. Check out the full list for season 2018-19:

- Best 'keeper: Yann Genty (Chambéry)

- Best pivot: Nicolas Tournat (Nantes)

- Best defender: Karl Konan (Aix)

- Best playmaker: Sander Sagosen (Paris)

- Best right-winger: Fahrudin Melic (Chambéry)

- Best right-back: Melvyn Richardson (Montpellier) 

- Best left-winger: Uwe Gensheimer (Paris)

- Best left-back: Mikkel Hansen (Paris)

The beIN Sports trophy for the Goal of the Season was awarded to Nîmes' Elohim Prandi, for his sublime strike against Cesson-Rennes.
