Paris to kick off campaign against Aix

This Friday, the National Handball League (NHL) released the Lidl StarLigue calendar for season 2020-2021. Paris Saint-Germain Handball will start their season at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin!

For this new campaign, matches will now take place on weekends (between Thursday and Sunday), unlike in previous seasons, when matches were played in the middle of the week. Thus, between 24 and 27 September, Les Rouge et Bleu will play host to Aix a little more than six months after their last outing on home turf - the French Cup clash with Dunkirk (32-21). A week later, they will play again in the capital as Cesson-Rennes come calling. Raul Gonzalez's men will make their first trip in the week of 6 October (Round 3), heading to Saint-Raphaël.

Among the season's key dates, we have the EHF Champions League clash against Nantes, which will take place in mid-December in Loire-Atlantique, while the return match will be played between 22 and 25 April. The two-legged clash against Montpellier will be played on 15 or 16 December (in the Hérault region) and 15 or 16 April (in Paris). Before the winter break and the Champions League Final4 of the, our players will play host to USDK (before going to Chambéry for their first match of 2021). Finally, for their last match, they will welcome Nîmes, to the Stade Pierre de Coubertin. As a reminder, this new championship campaign will include 16 teams and thus 30 games (compared to 26 before).
