Paris Saint-Germain Handball win a sixth Coupe de France

Paris Saint-Germain have won the 2021-2022 edition of the Coupe de France by defeating HBC Nantes (31-36) at the AccorHotels Arena on Saturday night.

Raul Gonzalez's players won 36 to 31 against the players from Nantes and won a sixth Coupe de France for Paris Saint-Germain Handball, following on from the successes of 2007, 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2021.

During the campaign, the French league champions successively defeated Montpellier Handball in the quarter-finals (41-24) and FĂ©nix Toulouse Handball in the semi-finals (32-29).

The Parisians were crowned champions on 6 May after a 37-33 victory at home against Montpellier. It was their eighth consecutive national league title and the ninth in the history of the club.

Luka Karabatic and his teammates achieved the perfect season in the history of the Liqui Moly Starligue, notching wins in all 30 of their matches, scoring at least 30 goals in each of them. Two unprecedented performances.
