Paris cap pre-season with victory
On Saturday evening, Paris Saint-Germain Handball played their final friendly match before the start of the 2020-21 season, away to Chartres.
Raul Gonzalez's men turned in a very serious performance in the first half! Solid in every sector, they were the first to build a lead, Mathieu Grébille scoring on the counter after a superb save from Yann Genty.

In attack, the capital club struck with almost all their chances, and this stat is even sharper when it comes to the side's pivots. As a good captain, Luka Karabatic led by example...

At the break, the Parisians were deserved leaders, thanks in particular to an excellent Yann but also to some formidable cutting edge on the counter.

As the second half began, the locals, boosted by an arena full of their fans, gave our players a slightly tougher time, but this rebellion by the hosts did not prevent our rear-guard from showing off (42': 17-24).
Although the match had become more balanced, it was our players leading the race. With two missiles fired into the back of the Chartres goal, Elohim Prandi and Sadou Ntanzi maintained the gap as the final minutes approached (50': 21-26).
The last ten minutes of this final warm-up match went the way of Les Rouge et Bleu and Nedim Remili, who found the net from his position on the right wing.

The result completed a flawless pre-season run for Paris, who go into the new season on a run of four wins from as many matches. The next time Paris Saint-Germain Handball take the court, in will be in official competition! And it will be no negligible encounter as our players travel to Szeged on Thursday for the first match of the EHF Champions campaign!
