Nedim Remili: 'The drive to never give up'

Paris Saint-Germain Handball scored a superb last-gasp win over Flensburg on Saturday. Check out what Les Rouge et Bleu had to say about their seventh-straight Velux EHF Champions League victory.

Thierry Omeyer (Paris Saint-Germain Handball 'keeper):
"Flensburg posed us a lot of problems. We struggled to counter them but we never lost faith. We didn't want to give an inch in front of our fans. I'm satisfied with how the team played, even though we all agree that the first half was not a success for us. We weren't in the match and we lacked aggression. For my part, I could have played better. I'm a bit frustrated to have missed so many saves but I'm happy I managed to make some important saves towards the end."

Luc Abalo (Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-winger):
"It was a tough match. We were behind for most of it, but the win was all the more satisfying because we struggled for so long; our efforts paid off. I would say that confidence, courage and determination got us the win."

Uwe Gensheimer (Paris Saint-Germain Handball left-winger):
"That was really tough… Flensburg have won all their league games this season. We fought really hard at the end. Both sides deserved to win but we were playing at home and I think the fans helped us to get over the line. In three days' time, we play the reverse fixture and I think we can improve our play. Our coach will do his best with videos to perfect our tactics and make sure we don't make the same mistakes we made today."

Nedim Remili (Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-back):
"It was complicated and we certainly didn't play our best match today. But we'll focus on the fact of having won it. We need to appreciate that we produced plenty of intensity, drive and aggression in defence in the second half. I think we made things pretty tough for our 'keeper by leaving a lot of holes at the back, but Titi managed to make some decisive saves. Overall it was a great win. Our mentality made the difference. Now we know what to expect on Wednesday and we'll train hard to avoid repeating our mistakes."

Nikola Karabatic (Paris Saint-Germain Handball playmaker):
"For 45 or 50 minutes we did not play well. Flensburg were in front but in the end, thanks to our level of play, our players and some excellent saves from Titi, we found a new dynamic and got back on level terms. This was a very important match for our side; Flensburg are a tough side and this gives us plenty of confidence."
