Luka Karabatic: 'It was one of our season objectives'

News

On Saturday night, Paris Saint-Germain Handball ended their season with a victory in the Coupe de France final against Nantes (31-36). Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Luka Karabatic and Vincent Gérard.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"We controlled the match. We played better and better. The atmosphere was very good, there were a lot of people. We have to be happy with this title, because it is always complicated to win it. Now, it is necessary to rest and recuperate a little bit, we have to clear our heads."

LUKA KARABATIC (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL PIVOT AND CAPTAIN):

"It was difficult from the beginning to the end. They came back well in the second half so we had to fight hard to get this win.
It was one of our season objectives and we also wanted to finish in the best way for all the players who are going to leave us, to create a last good memory - and we did it, so now we can enjoy it. It's been a very long season, but we've stuck together and stayed together and the holidays will do us good."

VINCENT GÉRARD (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL GOALKEEPER):

"At the beginning it was a bit tight, but we were able to take the lead as we went along. At the beginning of the second half, they came back to within two goals, but we were able to put our foot down. It's my fifth Coupe de France and it's always nice to write lines in the history of this club.
I wanted to perform well in this last game and finish my adventure with Paris in the best possible way."Β
