Louis Despreaux: 'Great for the youngsters'

On Sunday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball secured their place in the Coupe de France Round of 16 following their victory in Pontault-Combault (26-28). Jesus Gonzalez, Louis Despreaux and Edouard Kempf spoke about the victory.

Jesus Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball assistant coach):
"We played well in the first half. In the second, when we realised we were going to win, we relaxed. That explains why the result is tighter than it might otherwise have been. The most important thing is the qualification, and the fact that all the players, including the youngsters, were able to participate. We have to finish the year well, with wins in our Lidl StarLigue games."

Louis Despreaux (Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-back):
"We controlled the match and our players were very serious, which allowed the youngsters to have some playing time. It's nice for us... I'm glad I scored my first goal with the senior team, but I know I can do even better. I have to keep working. The main thing is that we qualified and I hope we will go all the way."

Edouard Kempf (Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-winger):
"For 50 minutes, we played well. The last ten were more complicated, which allowed our opponent to come back. We should have piled on the intensity throughout the game. But, our aim was to qualify, and that's what we did... Now we have to focus on the Tremblay game on Wednesday, because it's coming fast."
