On Thursday evening, Paris Saint-Germain Handball claimed their first win of the season in the EHF Champions League, beating Elverum 35-29. Check out the result of the Group A Matchday 4 results ...

Kielce - Meshkov Brest: 34-27
Future Paris Saint-Germain Handball opponents Kielce played host to Meshkov Brest with a view to keeping pace with Flensburg at the top of the table. Mission accomplished! On Wednesday evening, the Poles turned in a superb performance and led throughout the match (30': 18-11). It was in attack that Belarusian side let themselves down, completing just 52% of their attacks compared to the more effective 62% shown by Kielce. It must be said, however, that the task was no easy one against Andres Wolff, who was on fire. The German international won 15 of his duels at an impressive 40%. Brest remain pointless while for Kielce it was a third win in four matches.

Porto - Szeged: 25-19
The surprise of the week came from Portugal! Underdogs at home to Szeged, Porto turned the table thanks in no small part to five goals from Miguel Martins Soares. From the outset, they put the Hungarians on the back foot, limiting them to just ten goals in the first half(30': 15-10). Although the match became more balanced after the break, it was nonetheless a bridge too far for Szeged, who conceded a second defeat in as many matches while Porto moved into the upper reaches of the table. Once again, 'keeper Nikola Mitrevski was heroic, saving shots at the incredible rate of 47%!

Vardar Skopje - Flensburg: 31-26
With three wins in three matches, Flensburg were determined to confirm their strong formally to a Vardar who were surprisingly still waiting for their first win of the season. But the Macedonian beast is never as dangerous as when it is wounded. After a hotly contested game (44': 23-21), the Macedonians made the difference in the last quarter of an hour, well led by Stojanche Stoilov (8 from 10). Goran Johannessen's 6 from 6 was not enough and the Germans fell for the first time in the 2020-21 campaign while Vardar claimed their first win in their second match of the campaign.
