Clinical… and spectacular!
On Thursday night, Paris Saint-Germain Handball rounded out the Lidl StarLigue's Round 3 as they played host to Saint-Raphaël. Dominant form the opening buzzer, the Rouge et Bleu clinched a stylish win (32-29).
Six minutes… that's how long it took the Parisian machine to get rolling (6’: 3-3). But once it hit top gear, there was no stopping it and the Rouge et Bleu began to pull clear on the scoreboard (10’: 6-3). And they weren't just effective - they were spectacular! From nine metres out, Nedim Remili and Mikkel Hansen proved razor-sharp (18’: 9-6), while Adama Keita flew through the Coubertin air to score with a kung-fu (24’: 13-9). Paris looked unstoppable and continued to pad their lead until the half-time buzzer sounded (19-13).

The dynamic continued as the match resumed in the second half, and Raul Gonzalez's men conjured some more magical moments for their fans! From Henrik Toft Hansen, who struck with a lob from the middle of the court (35’: 23-16), to Thierry Omeyer, who made a string of saves (43’: 26-18), everyone was involved in this superb display. In the final ten minutes, the outcome seemed quite clear (50’: 28-20), but Saint Raphaël chipped away at the gap much as they did in the Trophée des Champions (56': 31-24). However, this time Adama Keita put the match to be in the final seconds and Paris clocked another win (32-29).
