On Wednesday night, the travel to the Palais des Sports André-Brouat in Toulouse for their Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 28 clash. Check out what's at stake!

THE TABLE

The final sprint is on for the Parisians. They are still undefeated (but also already Champions) and intend to remain so on the evening of Round 28. However, it will not be easy. Facing them will be a valiant team from Toulouse who want to win at all costs - and make the Parisians fall. Toulouse are currently seventh, equal on points with Nîmes (in sixth place, on track to qualify for the EHF European League). The players from the south-west will want to do everything they can to qualify for a competition they reached the last 16 of this year.

PREVIOUS MATCHES

You have to go back to the very beginning of the season to find the first time the two sides clashed in the league this season.
Paris Saint-Germain Handball played host to Toulouse in Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 2. After a first-round victory against Istres, our players followed up by clocking a stylish win over Toulouse (43-28). That evening, the Parisians in form were named Elohim and Dainis with eight and six goals respectively.

HEAD TO HEAD

This match will be the fourth time that Paris and Toulouse face off in season 2021-22. The two sides have been coming back for more all season; it started with the Parisian league win in mid-September and then the two teams faced each other in the Coupe de la Ligue and the Coupe de France, with two victories for the capital club. In the league, Vincent Gérard's team-mates are on a 12-game win streak against Toulouse but overall our team dominates the fixture with 24 wins against four for Toulouse (two draws).

TOULOUSE'S STRENGTHS

In defence, Toulouse have Jef Lettens, one of the best goalkeepers in the Liqui Moly StarLigue (just behind Nikola Portner), with 262 saves. In attack, Le Fenix also have plenty of talent: left-winger Nemanja Ilic is sixth on the scoring chart this season (155 goals). There will be plenty of reunions on match night, with Luc Steins going to meet his former team-mates, and with Sadou, loaned to Le Fenix, taking on his parent club. For Paris, it is Edouard Kempf who will reunite with his former teammates (Parisian from 2016 to 2020).
