All you need to know about Dinamo Bucharest - PSG Handball
One week after their victory against Flensburg (33-30), Paris Saint-Germain Handball step up to a big European challenge, travelling to Bucharest to take on Dinamo in their EHF Champions League Matchday 13 clash at the hostile Sala Polivalenta.
THE TABLE
Everything is still possible on all levels in this group stage. With eight points, and despite the threat of relegation, the Romanian team can still believe in their chances of a place n the knockout rounds. Indeed, they are only one point behind fifth-placed Flensburg after beating direct rivals in Porto last week.
For their part, Les Rouge et Bleu are still in the race for the top two places in the group (direct qualification for the quarters). They have played one game fewer than all their rivals, but they could come back to within two points of the leaders Kielce if they win in Bucharest and the Poles lose away to Veszprém.

ROMANIAN DANGER
Dinamo Bucharest may be in the red zone at the moment, but they are still a dangerous team. With 355 goals, they have scored more than some of the better-placed teams, such as Flensburg and Group A's Vardar. The Romanian attack is perfectly led by Brazilian left-back Raul Nantes, who is the third-highest scorer in the competition, with 67 goals. We remember his 13 from 13 in the victory against Zaporozhye (33-29) or his 11 from 11 against Kielce (32-29). Note that Parisian Mikkel Hansen is not far behind with 63 units (and one game fewer).

FAMILIAR FACES
Several Dinamo players know the French league perfectly. Some of them have played in France, like Eduardo Gurbindo. The Spanish international played for five seasons in Nantes, where he was a Champions League finalist in 2018. Cédric Sorhaindo played for Paris from 2004 to 2009. The French pivot (four-time world champion, among others), who left Barcelona last summer, has 36 goals this season on the European stage.

A LOOK BACK AT THE FIRST MATCH
In September, the capital club, narrowly beaten on the opening day in Veszprém (34-31), hosted a Dinamo who had claimed the scalp of Kielce - in Poland - the week before (32-29). However, the trend was reversed and it was Raul Gonzalez's men who won in style (41-30).
