Tuchel: 'We will keep fighting'
On the eve of the Week 34 Ligue 1 clash against Montpellier Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel spoke to the press at the traditional pre-match press conference:
THE SQUAD
"I am not 100% sure of tomorrow's match-day squad. We didn't have anyone injured during the final, but Thiago Silva will not travel with us to Montpellier. I will wait until the last minute to pick the travelling squad after meeting with the medical staff and after training later today."
MONTPELLIER
"I'm expecting a very difficult match tomorrow. It's not easy to bounce back after a loss in a final. We have been playing with a loty of players who haven't been 100% in recent weeks and other players coming back from long injury lay-offs. It's an important match for Montpellier, so we are expecting them to give it everything. But when you play for Paris Saint-Germain we have to keep fighting, we need to be ready tomorrow, to play well. But I don't know which players are available or what formation we'll play, but we want to get a good result."
THE COUPE DE FRANCE LOSS
"We are very upset. The changing room was completely silent after the game. We are a club that want to win everything, that is used to winning. We have seen our intensity drop since the last international break. We have had to deal with a lot of injuries. It's been very hard to keep playing well over such a long period. It's further proof that it's not easy to win. We need to analyse the current situation and start preparing for next season."
THE ATMOSPHERE WITHIN THE SQUAD
"I prefer that my players discuss things amongst themselves, talk things through. That's how a squad can grow, progress and continue to improve. We need more players that hate losing. That's the attitude we need because you need to prepare for these big games since the start of the season, not just in three days before the game. We have a lot of things to analyse."
COLIN DAGBA
"His emergence this season has been a real positive. He is very reliable and works with great humility. He has great quality and I can only say good things about him. He has had a couple of niggling injuries this term, so I don't want to take risks wth him but I am very happy with his attitude and performances. I have confidence in him."
