Thomas Tuchel: 'Three key weeks'
The Paris Saint-Germain noted Wednesday's UEFA Champions League encounter with Napoli at the Parc des Princes (21:00CEST) marks the start of an important period in the capital club's campaign.
NAPOLI
"It's a crucial game for Napoli and us. Not only on Wednesday, but the two matches. Both teams want to win these games. Napoli played well against Liverpool, with a lot of quality and a good attitude. They work hard for each other. There's a lot of quality, a lot of character. A lot of players can turn the game at any time. We have to be alert, patient, play with intensity and put in a great performance. It's a big challenge to play this team."
POST-LIVERPOOL
"A lot of things have changed in our play, in our style since the defeat to Liverpool. Sometimes it's good to lose, you learn. No-one likes losing, but it was an important experience. It was necessary for us to improve. We attack in a more structured way now, and we play with more intensity. We have to keep going, because the next three weeks will be key. We'll play Napoli twice, Marseille, Lille and Monaco. It'll be very important for us to play to our best level."
EDINSON CAVANI
"After Lyon, he was a bit sad about my decision to take him off. After Amiens too, because he hadn't scored. Number 9s are like that. When they don't score, they're disappointed. But he's very important for us. I told him the goals will come. He works hard for us, both going forward and tracking back, in his runs. It's a special game for him, so I hope he'll score."
MARCO VERRATTI
"Marco trained without any problems today. That was important, because he felt muscle pain against Amiens. We're very happy he's fit. It's a special match for him, because he likes Carlo Ancelotti a lot, and because he'll face an Italian team. He can make the difference on Wednesday."
