Thomas Tuchel: 'Happy with the start of the season'

Thomas Tuchel, Alphonse Areola and Edinson Cavani gave their reactions to Saturday's 3-1 win over Angers that made it three-wins-from-three at the start of the league campaign.

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)
"We started the game very well with a goal and several chances. After that, we lost the ball too easily, which made it more difficult to defend. Angers deserved to score. Our second half was a lot better, notably in terms of intensity. We managed to find players between the lines, which allowed us to win the game. There's still a lot to improve, but I'm very happy with our start to the season with the win in the Trophée des Champions and the three league victories."

Alphonse Areola (Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper)
"It was good to play again as my last match was at the end of May. I wanted to get back on the pitch, there's nothing like competition. Gigi and I have a good relationship, I see him as a big brother, it's a bonus to be able to work with him on a daily basis. I had quite a lot of work this evening. We had to be focussed and solid right to the end."

Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain forward)
"I'm very happy to have been on the pitch today. It's always important for strikers to score, because that's what gives us confidence. I'm very happy to have started like that and to see the team win for a third league game. The atmosphere is very good and I hope it'll continue like that. We hadn't played a lot in that system, but the main thing is the attitude and desire. We did everything to win even in a different system."
