Paris Saint-Germain won the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Real Madrid 1-0 and made the front pages of the newspapers and specialist media on Wednesday morning. Here are some of the highlights.
What emotion at the Parc des Princes! The PSG victory in stoppage time, courtesy of Kylian Mbappé 's goal, got the fans at the Parc, and the spectators from around the world, on their feet. The Parisian striker was the subject of a headline in the daily L'Equipe on Wednesday, "It's him again", after scoring the winning goal in stoppage time against Rennes a few days earlier in the 90th minute.
If the Parisian number 7 is the focus of attention, the two newspapers also highlight the collective performance that was successful from start to finish, with a dominant midfield in particular: "The pressing and possession work [made the difference]. The Parisians were aggressive in the middle, preventing Real from getting out," Alain Boghossian wrote in Le Parisien.
Tactically, Paris played a perfect game. In Spain, Marca described "a Real Madrid team that left Paris disappointed and will have to show something different in the return leg".
And not surprisingly, CBS highlights Kylian Mbappé's ability to take responsibility and make a difference in the big games. As a bonus, there was also the reaction of the CBS pundits to Kylian's goal, with Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.
