Strong-headed!

Les Parisiennes romped home to a 5-0 victory over Guingamp on Saturday 23 January on Matchday 13 of D1 Arkema. They therefore maintain their place at the top of the league.

Maintain their unbeaten run while guaranteeing their spot at the top of the league. These were the objectives of Les Rouge et Bleu at the Roudourou on Saturday, and they not only accomplished their mission, but they did so in style!

An inch-perfect pass from Formiga saw Baltimore open the scoring with her left foot as she was alone through on goal (0-1, 6'). It was then Katoto who doubled the lead, thanks to some smart work from Diani, who held off the defender before finding the number 9 (0-2, 11'). Diani got the hammer blow just 8 minutes later as she headed home a cross from Baltimore (0-3, 19').

Nothing seemed to trouble Olivier Echouafni's side and they further improved their lead in the second half. MAK made it a brace, with a left-footed effort after almost an hour (0-4, 56'), then Huitema scored a fifth goal for her side, as she finished under the bar and ensured Diani got a second assist of the match (0-5, 85').

A special mention for Ashley Lawrence (playing her 100th game for Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday), who as she so often has during her time in Rouge et Bleu, put in a solid performance.

Les Parisiennes hold on to first place in the league, as the battle for the top looks like it may go to the wire!
