Stats and Facts: The win over Arsenal

Match in numbers

Check out the key numbers from Paris Saint-Germain's 1-0 UEFA Champions League semi-final first-leg win in London.

A NIGHT OF FIRSTS!

Paris Saint-Germain recorded their first win against Arsenal after drawing three of their five previous meetings with the Gunners. Up until Tuesday, Arsenal were the European opponents Paris Saint-Germain had played the most without winning. The previous win for a French team against Arsenal in London was back in February 2015 when AS Monaco won 3-1.

The Rouge-et-Bleu are the first team to win at Arsenal in the Champions League since Bayern Munich in March 2017. They are also the first team not to concede a goal against Arsenal in the competition since 2016, that's nine years!

And the Parisians clearly love England! They're the first to defeat four English teams (Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal) in the same Champions League season and the second to defeat four clubs from the same country in a single campaign after Real Madrid defeated four German teams (Union Berlin, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich) last season.

ROCK-solid defence...

The Rouge-et-Bleu recorded their 50th clean sheet in their 164th game in the competition, becoming the 14th club to reach the milestone in the Champions League.

It was in large part to Gigio Donnarumma. Our Italian goalkeeper already showed his class against Liverpool at Anfield and Aston Villa, and he repeated the feat with two impressive saves from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

 …AND AN ATTACK ON FIRE!

Since OPTA started analysis (2003-04), no Paris Saint-Germain team has ever put together 26 successive passes leading to a goal in the competition like Luis Enrique's side did for Ousmane Dembélé's early strike.  By scoring after just 3 minutes and 15 seconds, our number 10 scored the fastest goal against Arsenal in the competition since Edinson Cavani struck at the Parc des Princes in September 2016.

It is also the competition's fastest semi-final goal since Boulaye Dia's for Villarreal against Liverpool in May 2022 (2 minutes, 52 seconds). With 25 goals in all competitions in 2025, Dembélé is the leading scorer across Europe's top five leagues in the calendar year.

And a final word for Kvara...since his January arrival in the French capital, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has tallied nine goal involvements in all competitions. He's scored twice in both the Champions League and Ligue 1, and totals five assists, two in the Champions League.
