Ready for Nîmes-Paris?

News

We take a look ahead to Paris Saint-Germain's fourth league game of the season, which takes them to the south of France to face newly promoted Nîmes.

THE MATCH
Paris have not lost away from home in L1 since 21 January when they were beaten 2-1 at Lyon, and will stretch that unbeaten streak into double figures if they avoid a loss. The two sides have met just once since Nîmes' relegation in 1993: Paris winning 3-0 in a Coupe de France Round of 64 tie at the Parc des Princes on 7 January 2007.

It will be the 25th time in total they have met. Paris have the edge with ten wins and eight losses. The Rouge-et-Bleu have not been beaten in Nîmes for 37 years since 22 February 1981 when they lost 2-1.

THE PLAYERS
Dominique Bathenay (Parisian from 1978 and 1985) has a Paris record five goals against Nîmes. Nîmes' Loïck Landre came through the Paris youth academy to make one first-team appearance in the 2010/11 season. He's the 13th player to wear the colours of both teams after Jean-Pierre Adams, William Ayache, Armando Bianchi, Pierre Bianconi, Laurent Boli, Aliou Cissé, Lionel Justier, Gérard Lanthier, Jean-Claude Lemoult, Didier Martel, Jacky Novi and Christian Perez.

THE LITTLE +
Since 26 July 1985 and a 3-1 win in Toulouse, Paris have been on top of the L1 table for 299 match days. If Thomas Tuchel's men continue their 100% start to the season, they will bring up another milestone. We'll find out whether they can do it at around 19:00CEST this evening.
