Paredes: 'Can't wait to play!'

Paris Saint-Germain's latest recruit Leandro Paredes gave his first interview as a Rouge et Bleu player to PSG TV and said he can't wait to meet his new teammates and get out on the pitch:

Bienvenue Leandro! How does it feel to be a Paris Saint-Germain player?
"I am very happy to finally be here in Paris. I am very excited by the prospect of playing for Paris Saint-Germain. It's a big club. The squad is excellent and has big ambitions and the coach also wanted me to sign. All of that helped me make my choice."

How are you physically? Are you ready to play?
"I have been training with my former clb so I am ready to play. I know the history of Paris Saint-Germain, the great players that have played here, those that play here today, including Angel Di Maria who has already told me a lot about the club and the city."

Can you tell us a little about your playing style?
"It's not easy to talk about myself. I hope you will all see my playing style in my first match. I arrived in Europe as a No.10, but after my first season, my coach at Empoli repositioned me deeper in midfield. I feel comfortable in that position today."

Are you looking forward to seeing the training centre, the stadium and your new teammates?
"I'm impatient and at the same time a little nervous. All the talk about this transfer makes me want to play as quickly as possible. I can't wait to get out on the pitch with my teammates and be available for the coach. I have just signed for one of the biggest clubs in the world, so I want to show all my qualities and hope I can live up to the expectation."

What do you know about French football?
"I know that it's a very good championship, with lots of physical contact and challenges. I can't wait to play. I am going to give my very best in training and in the matches to succeed."
