Milan Skriniar: 'We want to play our football'

The Paris Saint-Germain defender spoke at a press conference ahead of his side's UEFA Champions League Matchday 4 clash with AC Milan at the Stadio San Siro at 21:00 on Tuesday 7 November. Extracts.

HIS START TO THE SEASON WITH PARIS

"I'm delighted with this new experience in Paris. I'm gaining in confidence with every match and training session. We can still improve, both personally and as a team, but I'm happy."

MOMENTUM

"We're getting good results at the moment and we want to continue that. We have the quality to play a good game tomorrow and bring continuity to our results. I like our style of play, having possession of the ball, pressing high and getting the ball back quickly. That's something I like. Everyone is trying to improve individually and as a team."

RESULTS AT THE PARC DES PRINCES

"At home, we have all our supporters pushing the team and that helps us. We have fantastic supporters and that's why we're even better at home. Now we also want to put in some good performances and get some good results away from home."

THE MATCH AGAINST MILAN

"I know that this match will be difficult because I played for Inter for six years. We'll have to concentrate and play the way we know how. If we do that, then we can get a good result. Milan need to win points, but we also want to win this match. We want to play our football, and we have the qualities to win. It's going to be a tough game, and no doubt different from the first match. Milan have some very good players, but so do we. We want to get those three points, even though it won't be easy. Tomorrow we can take an important step towards qualification and that's our objective."

HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH MARQUINHOS

"I love playing with Marquinhos. We form a good central pairing, even if we can still improve. The most important thing for us is to help Paris Saint-Germain win. Every player has to help the team. We've got on well from day one and he speaks Italian, which made things easier when I arrived."

HIS RETURN TO MILAN

"It's a great thrill to return to the stadium where I spent six wonderful years. Now I'm a Paris Saint-Germain player and I want to give the best performance I can tomorrow. But it will be a special match for me, as I won my first trophies here."
