Luis Enrique: "We want Paris Saint-Germain to be unpredictable"

The Paris Saint-Germain manager answered questions from PSG TV and the media ahead of the game against Montpellier HSC on Matchday 11 of Ligue 1, tomorrow evening at 21:00 CET at the Parc des Princes.

ON MILAN skriniar

"Milan has played the most out of all of our outfield players so far this season, and he's a player that I really like. He has a huge amount of experience, and as a centre-back, he gives me everything that I need. He's able to move the play forward, which is very important for us. He's a physically powerful player who wins his duels, is precise with his forward passing and is very intelligent tactically. He really is one of our leaders."

ON THE RECENT RUN OF GOOD RESULTS

"We're in a learning process. The team is doing a lot of things very well, but we're still in the early stages. We're still analysing which players work best with each other, but as I've said before, we've got a very good squad with top-quality players in every department."

ON Marco asensio

"Medically speaking, Marco has been able to recover, but he still needs to get back to full fitness. He has to take the time to come back properly, as he's been out of action for two months, but I'm very happy to have him in the squad. He's a player who can play in various areas: centrally, as a false nine, on the wings or even in midfield. For me, that type of player is really important. Even under pressure, he stays in control of the ball, and that's important for us."

ON PARIS'S PLAYING PHILOSOPHY

"We're in a continuous development process. We want Paris Saint-Germain to be unpredictable for our opponents but not for ourselves. It's a complex process that takes time but that will allow us to play in several different shapes. The idea for me and for my staff, as I've said before, is to have an infinite number of solutions in attack so that we're difficult for opponents to read, but in order to do so, we need some variety so that we're not an easy team to defend against.

"I'm happy with the way in which the players have taken that aim on board; we're drawing on our potential to keep developing. I'm very happy with the squad, but I'm a very ambitious person, and I think that we still have a lot of room for improvement and a lot of things to perfect."

ON warren Zaïre-emery

"If I were a national-team head coach, then I'd give Warren a call-up every time, but I'm not a national-team head coach. I've been watching him play since last year; he does well and is exemplary wherever he plays. I can only thank the club for providing us with players of that calibre. When you see the work that he puts in on a daily basis, how he personally prepares and his studies... It isn't normal for a 17-year-old to have a schedule like his, but he's a true role model."
