Luis Enrique: 'It's magnificent to play at the Parc des Princes'

Reactions

Find out what Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique and Vitinha, Bradley Barcola and Désiré Doué had to say following the club's spectacular 7-0 win over Stade Brestois 29 in the Champions League at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

Luis Enrique

"I think this match defines what our team is all about: courage, mentality and the willingness to pass the ball to the player in the best position. I think it's a very important win and I'm very happy.

"It's a very special moment for us, with our supporters. It was a bit of a difficult match because we could have become over-confident. You have to prepare for the second leg knowing that the result of the first leg was very good, and that's difficult. But I think the mentality and attitude of the players was sensational. Congratulations and well done to our supporters, it's magnificent to play at the Parc des Princes!"

Vitinha

"I keep saying it, but we have a real team and we showed that again tonight. We have to highlight the work of the team, the teamwork. There were seven different goal-scorers, each one giving the ball to whoever was in the best position. We don't want to force things and score the goal ourselves, we give the ball to the player who is best placed. And when we do that, we score 7 goals. That's what we're most happy about: the team effort.

"We know it's not easy to maintain this rhythm. But when we put all our efforts into attack and especially defence, by doing simple things well, we know that we have a better chance of winning and playing matches like this one, and like all the matches we've played so far. I feel we're a real team. I use the word team because we all think the same thing, and it's a real pleasure to play in a team where everyone thinks the same thing. You can see it on the pitch. So we have to keep going like this: don't put ourselves down too much when we're not doing well, and don't put ourselves too high when we're like this. We need to keep our feet on the ground and continue like this in the league, Champions League and cup."

Bradley Barcola

"My goal? When Fabian has the ball like that and I run in behind, he knows he has to give it to me. So when I see him in that position, I go for it. I managed to control the ball and finish well. We're starting to feel like a great team. We're really enjoying playing together, assisting each other and scoring... It's really great. We're going to the last-16 to win. Whatever happens, they're going to be big games, and we're going to work hard."

Désiré Doué

"I felt very good and I think the team did too, because we played very well tonight. We played very well as a team and we were in a very good mindset. We also conceded 0 goals, so it was very positive tonight. We play for each other and I think that's also the strength of the team. When we get in front of goal, we don't tell ourselves that we always have to shoot. We pass to our team-mates and that allows us to get everyone involved, which is great.

"For the Round of 16, we're going to keep the same mindset. We'll continue to apply the coach's tactics and give it our all to go as far as we can. The fans? It's no surprise. We thank them again tonight, they were there to push us from start to finish. They created a great atmosphere and I think that even for them, it's a pleasure to come to the stadium, so thank you very much."
