Luis Enrique: "Happy with the attitude and mentality of the team"

Reactions

The Paris Saint-Germain coach and Randal Kolo Muani spoke to PSG TV about the 1-1 draw between the capital club and Stade de Reims in Ligue 1 Matchday 5 action at the Stade Auguste Delaune on Saturday 21 September.

LUIS ENRIQUE

"It's tough. The match started with clear dominance, with the opposition locked in their own half. They scored on their first counter-attack with a bit of luck. That gave them confidence to defend and we had chances to equalise, but they didn't go in. We got there in the second half and I think we deserved at least a draw. I think we could have won because of the number of chances we had, but that's football. And we could have lost with their last effort. I'm very happy with the attitude and mentality of the team. Today, it was obvious that we needed players with a fresher physical level, because we're going to play every three days and we need to recover. The match didn't end the way we wanted it to, so I think it's very difficult to win here and that we need to keep working."

RANDAL KOLO MUANI

"It was a complicated game, with a lot of intensity, which is what we expected. Even though they opened the scoring very early on, we were able to respond in the second half, even if it took some time. We stayed solid and kept going, coming away with a point. It's great that the fans are pushing us, we need them. And I think that's the mentality of the team too, to never give up, to fight for your team-mates. And I hope we can keep that mentality and go as far as possible. Reims were a good side and we needed to come away with all three points. Despite that, we've come back with a point and we mustn't give up, it's very important."
