Paris Saint-Germain opened their Coupe de France account with a four-goal haul against Ponitivy. Goals from Neymar, Draxler, Mbappé and an own goal from the home side confirmed the Parisians' passage to the next round.

Round of 32

Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 Strasbourg 

Four days after a stunning 9-0 victory at the Parc des Princes against Guingamp, Thomas Tuchel had to refocus his side on cup efforts with a tough match against Strasbourg. Enjoying nearly 70% possession over the 90 minutes, Paris dominated proceedings and progressed thanks to goals from Cavani and Di Maria that bookended the match in minutes 4 and 80.

Round of 16

Villefranche 0-3 Paris Saint-Germain 

Just days after losing their first game of the season away to Lyon at the Groupama Stadium, Thomas Tuchel took his team back to the same spot to face Villefranche in the Coupe de France. The fixture had been moved from the third tier club’s usual home, but the 23,000 spectators had to wait to witness a spectacle. The French third division side held the cup holders admirably until well into extra-time when Julian Draxler finally broke the deadlock on 102 minutes. Goals from Diaby and Cavani swiftly followed, rewarding the visitors with a 3-0 victory.

Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Dijon 

Towards the end of February, Paris returned to Coupe de France action in the quarter-final against Dijon at the Parc des Princes. Two goals from the in-form Angel Di Maria gave the Rouge et Bleu a first half advantage. Right back Thomas Meunier sealed the victory with 15 minutes left to go to confirm the Parisians’ place in the semi-final.

Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Nantes

After taking the lead through a rare Marco Verratti strike, Paris were made to work for an extended lead. Kylian Mbappé (P) and Dani Alves added late goals to seal the home side's passage through to the Coupe de France final with their third 3-0 victory in a row in the competition. The Parisians' 72% possession telling the story across two halves.
