The two Parisians have won the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal, by beating Egypt in the final in a penalty shootout!
It was goalless after 90 minutes, and after extra time. Egypt and Senegal had to wait for the penalty shoot-out to fight for the 2021 AFCON trophy in Cameroon.
And it was the Lions of Teranga who finally won the continental trophy. Mané had a penalty saved early in the match, but it was he who scored the winning penalty in the shoot-out.
Abdou Diallo scored his spot kick. Gueye and Diallo played the whole game. The former Parisian Aliou Cissé thus gave Senegal its very first African Cup of Nations! Congratulations to them!
