Paris Saint-Germain will take on FC Internazionale di Milano in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday 31 May at 21:00 CET in the Fussball Arena München in Munich, Germany.
The French champions finished 15th in the league phase of the competition with 13 points from their eight matches, before eliminating Stade Brestois 29 (3-0, 7-0) in the play-offs for the last-16, Liverpool FC (0-1, 1-0 a.e.t, 4-1 on pens) in the last-16, Aston Villa FC (3-1, 2-3) in the quarter-finals and Arsenal FC (1-0, 2-1) in the semi-finals.
After finishing fourth in the league phase, Inter, who currently sit second in Serie A with 74 points from 35 matches (three points behind leaders Napoli), then eliminated Feyenoord (2-0, 2-1), FC Bayern Munich (2-1, 2-2) and FC Barcelona (3-3, 4-3 a.e.t).
The final will be the first competitive meeting between the two sides, making the Italian outfit Paris Saint-Germain’s 54th Champions League opponent, their 94th European opponent and the 223rd competitive opponent since 1970.
