“Children first”

Paris Saint-Germain dedicate the last match of 2018 to sick and disadvantaged children.

For the fourth year in a row, Paris Saint-Germain are shining the spotlights of the Parc des Princes on the numerous actions that the Club carries out all year long to help children in need. The Paris Saint-Germain Foundation’s long-term charity partners – Secours Populaire, SOS Villages d’Enfants, Un Maillot pour la Vie, ELA and Princesse Margot – will all attend the celebrations on Saturday 22nd December. This year, around 20,000 children have benefitted from the Club’s charitable actions.

In the run-up to Christmas, we are delighted to help bring a bit of joy to children’s lives,” said Sabrina Delannoy, Deputy Manager of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation. “Our aim is to pass on the values of sharing and helping others that the Club promotes all year round, whether through our Rouge & Bleu Schools or in supporting the charities that work hard every day to improve children’s lives.”

An outstanding day for children from the Secours Populaire:
• 50 refugees and migrants, all children and families supported by the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, will attend a Christmas tea at the Molitor hotel before watching the match;
• 25 children will uncover the centre circle, watched by the spectators in the Parc des Princes;
• 11 others will walk out onto the pitch with the Paris Saint-Germain players;
• Backstage, a Little Reporter will have the run of the Parc to produce a “Behind the Scenes” report;
• One child will act as assistant presenter to Michel Montana!

A “Dream Evening” for children from the SOS Villages d’Enfants, Un Maillot pour la Vie, ELA and Princesse Margot charities:
• On one of its traditional “Dream Evenings”, held on Parc des Princes match days, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation will make dreams come true for five children who are supported by the Un Maillot pour la Vie, ELA and Princesse Margot charities. These children will have the chance to meet their idols and watch them warm up from the edge of the pitch.

• Two young orphans, cared for by SOS Villages d’Enfants, will be invited to blow the whistle to start the match.

A partnership with Catawiki for an exceptional auction:
• A set of 4 collector’s items that belonged to Paris Saint-Germain players will be exhibited in the press stand: a shirt signed by Ronaldinho, the ball from the 2017 French League Cup final signed by all of the players, a pair of football boots signed by Edinson Cavani, and a picture of Zlatan Ibrahimovic created by street artist Mehdi Ben Cheikh.
• These are just some of the items in the collection that will be auctioned off in mid-March on the Catawiki website, who specialise in selling exceptional objects and are partners of the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund. All proceeds will be put towards the Club’s year-round charitable actions.

Micro-donation system activated for the first time:
• For the first time, the Club’s supporters can make a symbolic €1 micro-donation when they buy their tickets online, which will be paid into the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund. This system enables all Paris Saint-Germain supporters to get involved in the actions carried out year-round to help children in need.
