Cher Ndour Express!

News

Check out Paris Saint-Germain's new midfielder's Express CV.

an early start

Little Cher Ndour joined his hometown club Brescia at the age of 5, after kicking the ball around for the first time with San Giacomo, an amateur club in the province of Bresciana. His talent was quickly spotted by the biggest clubs, and he then joined Atalanta Bergamo, also in Lombardy, to continue his training before moving on to the eagles of Benfica Lisbon, with whom he won the Portuguese league title at the end of the 22-23 season, coming on as a substitute against Vitoria Guimarães on 18 March.

He spent most of the season with the Lisbon club's reserve team (57 appearances, 5 goals), with whom he excelled and, above all, continued to attract the attention of Europe's biggest clubs. Now it's off to Paris for the young talent, who is entering a new dimension.

AN UNUSUAL PROFILE

Cher Ndour is a midfielder who can play in a number of different systems, as well as providing support for the strikers. He has the particularity of being able to play with both feet, a considerable advantage that gives him several different strings to his bow.

Cher is also 1m90 tall, making him the 2nd tallest player in the Paris squad, behind the giant Gigio Donnarumma at 1m96. San Antonio isn't the only place where you come across tall players.

?? did you know ??

Having already won the Portuguese league, he also won the UEFA Youth League with Benfica in 2021-2022 and, in fact, the very first edition of the Junior Intercontinental Cup, against Peñarol (winners of the Copa Libertadores for Under-20s) in Montevideo on 21 August 2022.

Cher Ndour has also been included on the list of 80 players nominated for the Golden Boy 2022 award. A diamond in the rough that just needs polishing to become a real gem!
