Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil defenders Marquinhos and Thiago Silva defeated Argentina 2-0 and their teammates, Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes, on Tuesday the 2nd of July at the Estadio Governador Magalhães Pinto de Belo Horizonte, in the Semi-finals of the 2019 Copa América.
Thiago Silva and Leandro Paredes both played the full game. Also playing at the center of defense, Marquinhos came off at around the hour mark, a few minutes after Ángel Di María entered the field. Brazil, who are hosting the competition, will face either Chile or Peru, who are playing for a spot in the final on Wednesday at the Arena do Grêmio de Porto Alegre. Then, the final will take place this Sunday, July 7th at 5pm GMT at the Estadio do Maracanã de Rio de Janeiro. Argentina will play for third place this Saturday, July 6th at 4pm GMT at the Arena Corinthians de São Paulo.
