20,000 spectators for training in Osaka!

Training

Just hours after leaving Tokyo for Osaka, the Paris Saint-Germain squad took part in an open training session. The locals travelled down in their numbers!

Day 7 for our Parisiens in Japan has been another day full of emotion. After some final goodbyes in Tokyo,  the Rouge et Bleu headed to Osaka via the famous Shinkansen, with a view out to Mount Fuji.

The objective to head to the third largest city in Japan for the finishing touches of this summer’s pre-season, with an intense training session on Sunday and a final friendly on Monday against Gamba Osaka.

Proof of the immense popularity of the club from the capital in the country, the crowds travelled in their numbers to accompany the players’ coach on its journey to the stadium.

More impressive, however, there were more than 20,000 locals to watch Les Parisiens’ training session, that’s the entire number of tickets available. The atmosphere was incredible throughout the session!

For an hour, Christophe Galtier’s squad took part in an intense session, with various drills and games, before some of the players headed off to perfect their shooting in front of goal. A session that was filled with seriousness and professionalism.

An excellent taster of what is to come at the match tomorrow, given that the 41,000 tickets for the game have already sold out.  After the two victories over local sides Kawasaki Frontale (1-2), and the Red Diamonds (0-3), Les Parisiens will look to continue their run, with just six days to go until the Trophée des Champions in Israel.
